Gerald Mengisen, Senior Project Manager (d²X Switzerland), answered our questions about his experience at d²X. 

Why did you join d²X?

I joined d²X Expertise after a call with Sabrina, the Office Manager for d²X Switzerland. She remembered me from an earlier job application and called me back because there was a potential position that fitted my profile. And indeed, it worked out!

In your opinion, what is d²X's strength today?

I think d²X has a few strenghts:

• First of all, the organization structure: d²X has a flat hierarchy in which the company founders attend calls and are very approachable. This allows decisions to be made very quickly unlike other types of organization,
• Another strength is the willingness for continual improvement and actually actively looking for what could be improved,
• Finally, the internal information sharing and learning via a knowledge management platform and webinars on various topics.

What are the specifics of your job?

As a Project Manager, I ensure, together with a team, that the delivery meets the expectations of the key stakeholders within the parameters given (resources, time, scope). That often means to find creative solutions in order to overcome obstacles that may arise during a project. And in a multi-project environment, being able to prioritise is paramount.

What kind of mission do you have at the moment?

I’m currently working as a Project Manager for the IT department of a Swiss canton with the 3rd largest population in the country. The projects I look after are in the fields of taxation and the cantonal register of companies.

The biggest project aims to introduce online access of an individual's tax information.

What makes the difference at d²X?
