Share a part of the life of our consultants by discovering their hobbies! This month, let's talk about Damien Kappelhoff (d²X Geneva) and his passion for psychoanalysis
What is your double life?
For the past twenty years, I have developed a passion for psychoanalysis, for the exploration of the unconscious.
When and how did you start?
I have always been drawn to this "psychology" field, but I really realized it when I was in my early adulthood. For me, the adventure started in 1999: I joined a training institute in listening and psychoanalysis. A friend had told me about it with passion!

What do you like about psychoanalysis?
I particularly like the fact that I am getting to know myself, and that over time I am able to rebalance aspects of my personality that sometimes were detrimental to me (fears, reactions that are sometimes too strong or inappropriate, etc.).
It is extremely satisfying to witness actual progress and to offer support to the other person on their own path.
Moreover, when you "open a door within yourself", it is always a discovery: you learn about yourself, but you also find one or more new doors to unlock. Sometimes it takes a certain amount of courage!
And in your daily life, how does your passion fit in?
Daily life (professional and personal) is an endless reservoir of self-observation and observations of the world around us. These observations lead to questions about the inner workings of the human soul... and therefore to hypotheses to be constructed, supported, tested, etc.
Have you acquired skills that you use in your professional life?
Saying that communication is essential for a project manager is obvious! This personal approach sharpens listening skills. This helps me a lot in the animation of project teams on my missions.
Thank you Damien for answering our questions!
